Disneyland park
Located in the Chessy area, a few kilometres outside of Paris, Disneyland opened its doors in April 1992, and now actually consists of two theme parks: the magical kingdom themed Disneyland park, the other park being Walt Disney Studios, based around the creation of movies and cartons.
>Disneyland, Europe’s most popular theme park
Disneyland is now the most visited theme park in Europe, and has been the 5th most visited in the world since 2008, with no fewer than 16 million visitors each year. This is due mainly to the fact that this splendid theme park is famous worldwide, but also that it is now possible to buy a season ticket which allows you to visit both parks as often as you like for the entire season for under €200.
With over 50 rides and shows spread over both parks, Disneyland is accessible from the A4 motorway, by train, with its own RER/TGV station at Marne-la-Vallée, with nearby Chessy served by the new low cost “Ouigo” high speed trains, which come from towns in the South-East. Disneyland is also easily accessible from the three main Paris airports, Roissy Charles de Gaulle, Orly, and Beauvais.

From time to time the Disneyland hotels can be more expensive than those in surrounding areas due to having a direct access to the resort, or due to high bookings, and it can often be cheaper to stay elsewhere.
